César Pelli was born in Tucumán, Argentina. In 1997 he is named Dean of the Yale University School of Architecture and founds the Pelli Clarke Pelli studio in New Haven, Connecticut, honoured by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) with the Firm Award in 1989. In 1991 the AIA indicates him as one of the ten most influential living American architects.
